The Friends of Blackburn Cathedral have announced BMI Healthcare as sponsors of the Flower Festival Celebration Dinner, one of the special events taking place as part of the Festival in June.
BMI Healthcare, who operate The Beardwood Hospital on Preston New Road in Blackburn are supporting the Black Tie Dinner, which will feature a reception amongst the spectacular displays, before a three course meal by Café Northcote in the beautiful setting of the new Clergy Court at the Cathedral.
Samantha Sheehan, Executive Director at BMI The Beardwood Hospital, Blackburn said, “The Flower Festival is the first of its kind for Blackburn and we are extremely proud to be associated with it. The Friends of Blackburn Cathedral and all its associates are working hard to make this a show stopping event which will see Blackburn on the map for an incredulous community occasion. ”
Karen Brooke, one of the organisers of the Flower Festival, said, “We are delighted to be working in partnership with BMI Healthcare and their support for the Festival Dinner and the extra publicity this has generated already means the dinner is nearly sold out. It should prove to be an exciting evening, as it will also be one of the first major events from the team at the new Café Northcote.
“The support from businesses for this major event has been exceptional and we are pleased that as people start to understand the scale of this event, more businesses have been keen to partner with us to help highlight the positive work that is being undertaken across the town and beyond.”
The Blackburn Cathedral Flower Festival takes place from 23rd to 26th June 2016 and is expected to attract thousands of visitors from across the UK to the town over the four day extravaganza.
The event has attracted support from a wide range of businesses and organisations including headline sponsors Barton Grange Garden Centre, Blackburn BID, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Blackburn Market, John Turner Construction, The Eric Wright Group, High Level Maintenance, Cope Engineering and media partners, BBC Radio Lancashire and Square Cactus.
As well as the Flower Festival Dinner in association with BMI Healthcare on Thursday 23rd June, the festival will also feature other special events including an Exclusive Festival Preview on 22nd June, a Secret Garden event with live jazz from Tipitina on Friday 24th June and a concert by the renowned vocal group I Fagiolini on Saturday 25th June.
