Blackburn Cathedral Flower Festival has announced a major new sponsor for the 2016 event. John Turner Construction Group has pledged its support to this major NorthWest celebration of the completion of the new Cathedral Quarter.
John Turner is currently nearing completion of the prestigious Blackburn Cathedral Clergy Court project. This involves the construction of a three storey building plus basement to provide housing and apartments for the cathedral clergy. The project also includes offices, music scholar residence, library, meeting rooms, refectory, underground car park, public realm and associated amenities including the creation of a Clergy Garden. The spaces will connect to the new public spaces in the newly created Cathedral Square.
John Turner’s Managing Director, John Clarke, said, “We have been working closely with the Cathedral on the construction of the Clergy Court project. Supporting the Flower Festival will be an excellent way to celebrate the opening of the first Cathedral cloisters to have been built in the country for over 600 years.”
Karen Brooke, one of the Festival organisers, said, “We are delighted that John Turner has chosen to be a part of this fantastic celebration. The support of this company and our other sponsors is crucial to the success of the Flower Festival”
The Blackburn Cathedral Flower Festival takes place on the 23rd to 26th June 2016. Ticket sales and more information are available from our website.
